At first there were six branches opened, across Manchester and London, for delivery orders only.

This trial was successful and Nando's followed by opening its doors on 54 more restaurants yesterday as 39 return today.

Customers can order via Deliveroo, which adds on a fee for delivery, or by click and collect orders placed online via , depending on the restaurant.

When the 39 newly opened restaurants are live on the Nando's website later today, it will also confirm if they are offering delivery or collection services.

The chain closed all of its restaurants on March 23 when the Prime Minister implemented the coronavirus lockdown, even though it could have remained open for takeaway orders.
