The first May bank holiday was on Friday, May 8 for VE day.

While most Lidl shops were open as normal over the weekend, some will close earlier today.

As store opening and closing times depend on the store, it's always worth checking to see the hours of your local branch.

Lidl opening hours for the late May bank holiday weekend

Opening hours at your local Lidl have changed for today.

The shop has made some changes because of the coronavirus outbreak. These include a traffic light system which shows when the shop is busiest.

Unlike other supermarkets, Lidl doesn't have any special special opening times for NHS workers or vulnerable or elderly shoppers.

It also didn't change its opening hours while other shops have been closing earlier.

Monday, May 25

Today shops will open from 8am to 8pm, closing two hours earlier because it's a bank holiday.
