BRITS who are desperate to cool down in the hot weather have forced a hot tub company to start a queueing system on its website.
Lay-Z-Spa, which sells a range of hot tubs and is one of the main stockers for Britain's high street stores, has been faced with soaring demand after temperatures rose this week to 28C.
When The Sun tried to log on to its website this afternoon, we saw the following message: "Our site is pretty busy right now, but please hold on and you'll get in soon. This page will refresh automatically, keep this page open or you may lose your slot.
"If you're looking for support for an order you've already made or for any warranty registrations and claims, please use our Self-Service Support site."
In a separate note, on its contact page, the company added: "Due to high demand, we've paused hot tub pre-orders.
"Chemicals, Accessories and Spare Parts are still available to order."
They added that response times are between 19-21 days and customers should allow for 3-5 days on top of the chosen delivery method for arrival time.
It comes after websites for high street stores B&Q, B&M Home Bargains and Homebase all said their hot tubs are out of stock.
Shoppers have said they have been trying and failing to get hot tubs online and some have resorted to buying them on Facebook.
One person said on Twitter: "My mum was talking to the neighbours yesterday and she was telling them she wants an hot tub but they’re all sold out.
"Anyway they found her on Facebook and added her and spent the night messaging her looking for hot tubs. I’m done."
Another said: "Why are all the hot tubs sold out."
While one woman wrote: "Why is inflatable hot tubs sold out EVERYWHERE someone please find me one."
