To help keep staff and customers safe, McDonald’s will install perspex screens at checkouts and will ask customers to respect social distancing rules.
Customers will also be asked to pay for their food with card and contactless payments where possible.
Workers will also be provided with gloves and masks, and they'll have their temperatures checked before each shift to make sure they're fit to work.
The Sun had previously seen a leaked memo sent to McDonald's employees, which said the fast food chain had been testing social distancing measures and personal protective equipment.
Customers will only be able to order from McDonald's via Uber Eats - they won't be able to order from the My McDonald's app.
Keep in mind that you'll have to pay a delivery fee depending on how far away from the restaurant you are, so remember to factor this cost into your bill.
Restaurants will remain closed for the public to enter, which means you won't be able to eat inside.
McDonald’s hasn’t revealed which restaurants will be reopening, but the company said a full list will be announced nearer the opening date.
Restaurants will operate under temporarily reduced hours of 11am until 10pm, which means they won't be serving breakfast options for the foreseeable.
What items are included on the reduced McDonald's menu?
MCDONALD'S has confirmed it'll be running a reduced menu when restaurants reopen on May 13.

Maccies fans were left gutted when all 1,350 restaurants were temporarily shut on March 23 due to coronavirus.
Before closing all branches, McDonald's was still taking takeaway and drive-thru orders.
The restaurant chain had shut off seating and children's play areas, and it also started using sticky tape to mark out boxes on floors to indicate safe distances.
Paul Pomroy, McDonald’s CEO UK and Ireland, said: "In March we took the decision to temporarily close our restaurants in the UK and Ireland for the safety of our employees and customers.
"Recently, we began working through a potential and limited reopening and I wanted to share with you an update that we shared with our franchisees and 135,000 employees earlier today.
"As part of our reopening planning, we have been listening to you and our employees, and we have worked closely with UK and Irish governments and trade bodies to help ensure we do this responsibly.
"We have deliberately taken our time, we want to get this right."
McDonald's fans have been going wild for the return of the fast food chain, with customers in New Zealand queuing for miles after midnight following the lifting of lockdown rules.
Meanwhile in France, McDonald's addicts queued for up to three hours when a handful of restaurants reopened for drive-through meals in France last week.
Huge tail backs and large traffic jams formed near newly reopened outlets.
