Make some cash from your household clutter this lockdown with our Sun Savers tips
LOOKING to put some pounds back in your pocket?
Time is money, so use yours to stash the cash.
I have had a bit of a clearout this week and seen a couple of new ways to make money. Tech a look at this.
If you had a clearout in isolation, you probably found a stash of old gadgets you no longer need. Why not get some dosh for them?
MusicMagpie has started a new contact-free home collection service so customers don’t have to leave the house to sell their unwanted tech — such as phones and tablets, CDs and DVDs, games and books.
The company is also offering extra cash at the moment, with up to £20 extra for those selling phones. For more information, visit .
MARKET YOURSELF: If you are hard up at the moment but a dab hand in the kitchen, think about something you could cook and sell — unusual dishes or exciting baked treats, say. You can post on Facebook Marketplace or the Nextdoor app and make safe, contact-free deliveries locally.
ALL CLEAR: I don’t know about you but being on lockdown has made me ruthless when it comes to clearing out clothes. This is also a good chance to put pounds back in your pocket. Use your spare time to take photos of unwanted branded clothes, make-up and accessories, and list them on eBay or on clothes-selling app Depop.
TOP TIP: Make sure it is really worth it after selling fees, postage and packing. Also, consider selling in bundles to avoid unnecessary trips to the post office at this time. Fill in your time. OK, taking part in online surveys can be tedious . . . and they do take time to tot up earnings.
But you are likely to have plenty of extra time to play with at the moment! Sites such as Swagbucks, Valued Opinions and MySurvey are popular, with many people already racking up money by taking part. So get busy answering those questions to add pennies to the piggy bank.
