BT Sport customers can now apply for a TWO month credit for bills

BT Sport is now giving customers two months' worth of credit after live sport was suspended due to coronavirus.
It follows the telecoms provider, which has the rights to 52 Premier League football games this season, initially giving customers a refund of their April bill only.

BT was late to the party when it came to offering refunds, which led to complaints from furious customers on social media.
It came after Sky Sports allowed its viewers to pause payments until live action resumes while also allowing them to continue watching.
But rather than allow users to pause subscriptions, BT will now offer users a refund of two month's subscription - and you'll continue to be able to watch your package.
It adds that it will also automatically apply a third month's refund to your bill if there is no live sport being broadcast on BT Sport in June.
Can I pause my sports package or get a refund?
HERE'S what the major telecoms firms say about pausing or refunding sports packages:
BT customers BT Sport: You can get a credit for two month's BT Sport or donate this to the NHS. Just visit the and select your option. If you've already selected your option, your refund will be automatic the following month.
Sky Sports: BT says its systems don't allow it to pause subscriptions but it is giving customers a bill credit instead, although you will need to call BT to do this.
Sky customers
BT Sport: These customers can pause BT Sport by pressing the "Pause Now" button the . You'll still be able to watch channels in the meantime and your package will be automatically reinstated when live sports is back.
Sky Sports: You can pause Sky Sports by pressing the "Pause Now" button on the . Alternatively, call 0800 151 2747, say "cancel Sky Sports" and it will ask if you wish to pause your Sky Sports subscription. You'll still be able to watch channels in the meantime and your package will be automatically reinstated when live sports is back.
TalkTalk customers
BT Sport: TalkTalk customers can access BT Sport through their TalkTalk TV Box but they take out the subscription and pay BT directly. This means they can to get a refund or donate two month's worth of payments.
Sky Sports: You can pause Sky Sports packages by clicking on the link in the email you will have received from TalkTalk. You'll still be able to watch Sky Sports even if you cancel and your package will automatically restart. You can also turn off a "Sky Sports Boost" yourself although you will need to restart this yourself if you do.
Virgin Media customers
BT Sport: You can pause your subscription via the and you'll be refunded for each month there's no live sport. You'll still be able to watch channels in the meantime and your package will be automatically reinstated when live sports is back.
Sky Sports: You can pause a Sky Sports subscription by entering your account details on an online form on the . You'll be refunded for each month there's no live sport and you'll still be able to watch channels in the meantime. Your package will be automatically reinstated when live sports is back.
BT has already given all broadband customers unlimited home internet usage to help families stay connected during the coronavirus epidemic.
A BT spokesperson said: "With the latest news that live sport is unlikely to return in May we have been working through the impact that this has on the BT Sport schedule, our business and our customers.
"We recognise there is much uncertainty which remains out of our control, and as such BT Sport customers can now go to to get a bill credit for two months of BT Sport, or, choose for BT to donate that credit back to the NHS Charities Together Covid-19 Urgent Appeal."
BT adds that customers with queries should try to contact it via MyBT online accounts or the BT App and refrain from calling if possible.

Option three
Lastly, you can opt to pay £10 a month for BT's Entertainment TV package but you'll get three month's worth of BT Sport thrown in for free.
This is a 24-month contract though so you won't be able to cancel this early without paying early exit fees.
I've claimed a one month refund - how do I get the second month credited?
If you've already claimed a one month refund to your account you don't need to do anything as BT will automatically credit a second month to your BT account.
Equally, if you've already opted to donate one month's worth of credit to the NHS Charities Together COVID-19 Urgent Appeal, BT will automatically donate the second month's cash directly to your account.
If you initially got a refund to your account and now want to donate it to the NHS, you'll have to do this manually yourself.
Equally, if you want to continue to donate to the NHS you'll have to arrange this manually yourself.
BT says it will email customers the donation link.
If you switched your TV package you'll still be within the free three month's of BT Sport window.
What if I get BT Sport from a different provider?
TalkTalk customers can also get a refund of two month's credit by following BT's directions above.
Virgin Media customers with BT Sport can get a refund each month no live sport is shown, although it's unclear how they go about this.
