Wilko axes pick n’ mix from shops over safety fears
WILKO has temporarily axed pick n' mix from its stores to minimise the risk of coronavirus spreading.
The retailer remains open to shoppers for non-food essentials including toilet paper, bleach, over the counter medicine as well as baby and pet products.

It's also selling DIY products and stationary to keep both adults and kids entertained at home.
Overall, two-thirds of what it sells is "non-food grocery" essentials, according to the retailer.
But shoppers will have to wait before they can nab their favourite sweets again in order to protect staff and customers alike.
Wilko said the pick n mix will be back "soon", but it hasn't clarified when.

The retailer has also introduced increased cleaning practices, social distancing, rationing and queue marshalls.
In addition, stores are currently closing earlier at 5pm until further notice to give staff extra time to clean and stock shelves.
Before the coronavirus pandemic, some shops would close as late as 8pm.
Plus, it's ordered floor markings and protective screens to its stores similar to UK supermarkets.

The retailer's website is also still up and running, but shoppers may experience delays to their home delivery orders.
