Aldi relaxes limits on some items – but essentials like bread and bleach are still being rationed
ALDI is relaxing its shopping limits on most items from today - but essentials such as bread and bleach are still being rationed.
On March 14, the discounter started restricting shoppers to four items of every product after Brits began stockpiling due to the coronavirus crisis.

Just over a week later, Aldi then limited customers to buying two each of nappies, toilet roll and kitchen towel.
But it's now caught up with demand and has lifted a majority of limits as the shelves have been sufficiently restocked.
Yet items in high demand, including antibacterial hand gel, UHT milk and baby formula, will still have limits of two items each per person.
We've listed the restrictions that are still in place across all Aldi UK stores in the box below.

Last week, Aldi announced it'll give all emergency service workers priority access to stores whatever time of day they need to shop.
It means they'll be allowed in stores "as soon as social distancing guidelines permit" rather than joining the back of the queue.
Emergency service workers will need to show their ID, such as an NHS card, whenever they come to the store to skip the queue.
