A Big Mac bought before branches closed at 7pm last night is being sold for £1.20 on eBay, after attracting two bids.

All proceeds from the sale has been pledged to NHS Charities Together, which supports those working on the frontline of fighting the pandemic.

The snack comes in the original box and with its order receipt and is meant to be a collectors item.

The seller added: "This is a collectors item only and I DO NOT recommend eating this burger.

"Please note that while all measure have been put in place to ensure the pristine condition of this burger the likelihood of this burger deteriorated is high."

Another seller has listed an entire large Big Mac meal, complete with fries, Coke and extra curry sauce.

It has a starting price of £2.88, despite costing around £5.29 to buy directly from McDonalds, although no one has made a bid on it yet.

Boxes of 20 McNuggets have also made it onto the auction site, with one seller even listing them as "rare".

The seller says that the box is "missing" six nuggets and, despite being listed for £2.40, they are willing to swap them for a pack of four Andrex quilted toilet paper.

The jibe is referring to the lack of loo roll in supermarkets across the UK as Brits stockpile essential items in anticipation of a lock down.

Another, complete, box of 20 nuggets is also for sale on eBay for 99p.

Of course, the food is perishable and shouldn't be eaten if you do end up buying it.

There's no guarantee that any of the items will actually sell on eBay as they're only worth what someone will pay for it.

The popular fast food chain announced that it would be closing all 1,350 restaurants in the UK and Ireland on Sunday.

It came after PM Boris Johnson ordered all pubs, restaurants and cafes to close in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus on Friday night.

Most major retail chains have now shut their doors over the escalating coronavirus pandemic.

It's not the first time sellers have tried to cash in on COVID-19 panic.

Toilet rolls have been listed online for more than £1,000 after stockpiling has cleared supermarket shelves, while Lidl hand sanitiser was being listed for £40 despite costing just 50p in the first place.

McDonald's did not wish to comment. The Sun has contacted eBay for comment.
