Iceland limits online orders to elderly, vulnerable and those self-isolating

ICELAND has limited its online delivery slots to older and vulnerable people as supermarkets struggle to cope with increased demand during the coronavirus crisis.
The frozen food specialist said it wanted to make sure those most in need were able to get essential food as the spread of the virus continues.

Iceland's statement continued: “We're working hard to add as many delivery slots as possible, however demand is currently very high.
“Please note that due to continued high demand in our stores, customers may still be missing items in their online orders.
“We'll be in contact to let you know when online deliveries are back to normal.”
Other supermarkets have seen a huge increase in demand for online delivery orders after the Prime Minister urged people to stay at home as much as possible.
Online shopping and deliveries are set to continue despite the lockdown of “non-essential” UK shops, which was announced last night.
