Nando’s and Costa join McDonald’s in closing ALL restaurants over coronavirus

NANDO'S has become the latest restaurant to close its doors due to the coronavirus outbreak.

It follows McDonald's and Costa Coffee which will both close restaurants in the UK and Ireland due to the spread of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, McDonald's will close all 1,350 stores in the UK and Ireland today.

Costa says it'll also close branches but will, however, "do its best" to keep stores open in hospitals for NHS staff.

The coffee shop says it's temporarily shutting all stores from this evening (March 23).

Cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants were told to close by the end of the day on Friday (March 20) by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

But they are still allowed to serve takeaways.

Pret a Manger and Starbucks are also temporarily closing all UK stores due to coronavirus.
