SAINSBURY'S is asking customers to stay one metre away from staff to protect them from the spread of coronavirus.
The warning came as the supermarkets announces a raft of new measures for shoppers and employees.

Sainsbury’s will be reserving the first hour - from eight till nine am - every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for NHS staff and social care workers.
Elderly and vulnerable customers will also be able to use the supermarket during these hours.
NHS staff and social care workers as well just need to show their pass or ID when they visit.
Store workers are being asked to try their best to keep a supply of essential items aside for these hours, so that they are available for those that need it most.
Sainsbury’s is also consolidating its opening hours to help make sure more colleagues can be stocking shelves and serving shoppers during the times customers need help the most.

All colleagues who are unwell or self-isolating will receive full pay for the full period of 14 days and the supermarket is committed to paying elderly and vulnerable workers in full if the government decides they should self-isolate for 12 weeks.
