Tesco is closing all 24 hour stores overnight from 10pm tonight to help restock due to coronavirus

TESCO is to close its larger 24 hour stores at 10pm to help re-stock due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The stores will re-open at 6am as the UK's biggest grocery chain faces unprecedented demand from shoppers.

The move is a temporary measure and will be across all extra, superstores and large metro branches.

A few large stores with pharmacies will continue to stay open past 10pm.

Supermarkets have been deluged by shoppers as the coronavirus continues to spread across the UK.

There are almost 4,000 Tesco branches in the UK - but around 400 branches currently open 24 hours a day.
