M&S is now selling Marmite butter and cheese
MARKS & Spencer has teamed up with Marmite to sell cream cheese and butter tasting of the popular spread.
Whether you love it or hate it, the new items are rolling out in M&S stores from tomorrow - March 4.
The cream cheese costs £2.50 per 140g, and it's said to be best enjoyed on the morning bagel, in a bowl of pasta or dolloped in tomato soup.
While the butter could give your steak a salty sweet caramelisation, your roast potatoes a crunchy twist or you could pair it with a jacket potato.
This comes in packs weighing 100g, setting you back £3 at M&S.
The cheese and butter contain 283 and 744 calories per 100g, respectively.
April Preston, director of product development at M&S, said: "Partnering with an iconic and loved brand like Marmite is the stuff dreams are made of.
"So when the opportunity arose to collaborate with them on these new and innovative products, we knew the end result was going to be delicious.
"I am personally a huge lover of the Marmite Creamy Butter, it’s brilliant stirred through vegetables like broccoli and mixed into pasta dishes for the family."
While Sophie Allan, Marmite brand manager, added: "In 2019, we saw a huge volume of requests for a Marmite cream cheese.
"So, it made perfect sense to team up with M&S and create this exclusive range with them.
"We think they are ideal for first time Marmite eaters and, of course, our lovers too."
Last year, Marmite rolled out a peanut butter combining smooth and salty peanut butter with the yeasty taste of the iconic savoury spread.
Marmite XO "extra old" spread also made a comeback after ten years.
While in January this year, Marmite launched a new smooth peanut butter.
