Poundland is launching its chilled and frozen range of food in 60 more stores
POUNDLAND is extending its chilled and frozen range of food to 60 more stores.
The move comes following a successful trial of seven “shop-in-shops” which sell food including pizza, chips and ready meals.
Poundland says the chilled and frozen food will be priced between 50p and £5, with the range hitting the first 20 stores this month.
A full list of these shops show the majority are based in the north of England, as well as the Midlands.
The first to get the food will be in Gateshead, Hartlepool, Sunderland and Nottingham, starting next week.
The budget retailer has partnered with frozen food specialist Fulton Foods for the new grub, which includes over 400 everyday items from frozen fish to yogurts.

Poundland has 500 stores in the UK, meaning more than one-in-ten branches will stock the chilled and frozen food.
Details of the remaining 40 shops that'll take part in the expansion will be revealed in April and May, while the retailer expects stock to hit shops by July 2020.
Poundland managing director Barry Williams said: “We’re here to bring customers more of what they love, and frozen and chilled food is high on their list.
“It’s clear from our five-store pilot that customers have given a warm welcome to our Project Ice offer that brings our promise of amazing value to more of what they buy, week-in, week-out.”
It comes after Poundland revealed in November 2019 that it would no longer only stock items that cost £1.
Poundland has also introduced clothing in around 300 stores as it seeks to expand its products.
There's also a range of £10 products including bulk boxes of washing powder.
