Aldi shopper shares clever hack that makes packing groceries a lot easier
QUICKLY packing your groceries at the supermarket till can be stressful, but one Aldi shopper has shared a trick which makes it a doddle.
Instead of putting the food in plastic bags, the savvy mum uses two large plastic tubs with handles.
She says she's sworn by the method for years, but only just shared it in the .
It could come in handy at any supermarket, although Aldi is known for having particularly speedy cashiers.
The mum wrote: "I know there are the Aldi hanging bags for when we shop but I’ve been using these tubs for a couple of years now and love them.
"They fit perfectly into the trolley and so easy to get in and out of the car.
"If they’re a bit heavy I just put some of the goodies into the other while putting the first into the boot."
The mum said she puts the heaviest items in the front tub so they come out first onto the belt.
She added: "Then I distribute the heavy things evenly into the two tubs after they’ve been swiped through the register.
"You’ll be surprised how much you can fit into them."
The tip has been praised by other shoppers in the Facebook group, and has so far racked up more than 1,400 likes.
One user said: "What a brilliant idea. Off to buy some tubs tomorrow."
While another asked herself: "That’s so smart why haven’t I thought of that?"
And a third one wrote: "Great idea taking that onboard for sure."
Plastic tubs with handles are sold in a wide range of retailers, with the prices starting from under £1.
