TURKEY ORDERS STUFFED

Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s ‘ruin Christmas’ by delivering orders without a TURKEY

SHOPPERS have accused supermarkets of stuffing up Christmas by delivering orders without a turkey.

Customers were left in a flap when they were told the birds were out of stock.

And, to make matters worse, some were also left without sprouts and stuffing.

Asda customer Nikki Hill wrote on Twitter: “My Christmas food delivery is on its way — thanks Asda for not having my turkey, sprouts and goose fat.”

It was among complaints piling up on social media as shoppers feared supermarkets had run out.

Artist Rhian Lally, of Coulsdon, South London, booked her delivery slot with Asda weeks ago.

The mum-of-four, 49, said: “Two of my sons took in the shopping.

“When I got back I said ‘Come on lads, where’s the turkey?’

“They said: ‘What turkey?’

“I said, ‘Yeah yeah, where’s the turkey?’ But then I realised they weren’t joking.”
