Between December 23 and December 27, NHS staff will be able to choose between money off their next Uber taxi or Uber Eats order.

You can't get money off both and the £20 can’t be redeemed in one go – workers will get two £10 promo codes to use on separate orders.

To get the discount, you’ll need to be registered with or .

NHS workers must then sign up for the offer via this .

What other discounts are available to NHS, emergency service and Armed Forces?

NHS staff, emergency service workers and members of the Armed Forces can sign up for a Blue Light Card to get exclusive discounts on the high street.

There’s two different cards you can get, one for online and a physical card to shop in stores.

The digital card is free but the physical card costs £4.99 and lasts two years at a time.

You can but you’ll need to prove your profession to qualify for the card.

Here's who qualifies for Blue Light Club:

  • 4x4 response, Ambulance Service, Blood Bikes, Border Force, British Army, Cave Rescue, Community First Responders, Fire Service, Highways Agency, HM Armed Forces Veterans, HM Coastguard, HM Prison Service, Immigration Enforcement, Lowland Search and Rescue, MoD Civil Servant, MoD Fire Service, MoD Police, Mountain Rescue, NHS, Police, Red Cross, Reserved Armed Forces, RNLI, Royal Air Force, Royal Marines, Royal Navy, Search and Rescue, Second Line Responders, St Andrews Ambulance, St John Ambulance, UK Visa and Immigration

Unfortunately you can’t see which offers are available until you’ve signed up but retailers who have taken part in the past include Starbucks, Apple, New Look and Cineworld.

The discounts are constantly changing so it's difficult to pinpoint exactly what money you'll be saving.

If you've already got a Blue Light Card, remember to always compare prices to make sure what you're buying isn't cheaper elsewhere.

It’s available to all NHS staff in the UK aged 18 years or over, but you’ll need to make sure you sign up with your NHS email address to prove you work for the health service.

Both apps are free and can be downloaded on the and - or you can sign up on their standard websites.

To get the deal, NHS workers need to apply by 9am on December 20 and you can only use your email address once.

Sadly the discount doesn't apply to other emergency service workers or members of the Armed Forces.

But the good news is there's no minimum spend required and Uber Eats has confirmed the deal applies to all retailers.
