Is M&S open on New Year’s Day? Opening and closing times and hours over the New Year period
IF you're planning a trip to M&S on New Year's Day fear not as most stores will be open.
Of course, opening hours vary from branch to branch, so here's our handy guide to when M&S will be open over New Year’s.
What are M&S opening hours over New Years?
On New Year’s Eve, Tuesday December 31, most stores will be open from 8am – 6pm.
On New Year’s Day, Wednesday January 1, most stores will be open from 9am – 6pm.
However it is still recommended to see opening hours.
All stores will return to their normal opening hours on January 2, 2020.

Not all shops are opening over the festive period. For example:
Most of Waitrose stores are closing their doors on New Year's Days.
Aldi is also giving it's staff a break, as the discounter is closing its stores once again on New Year's Day - January 1.
All Lidl stores will also be closed.
But don't fret - M&S isn't the only supermarket open on January 1st.
Sainsbury’s will be opening their doors from 9am - 7pm.
Tesco will also remain open.
On New Year's Day, in England, Wales & Northern Ireland, Tesco Extras, Superstores and Metro stores will open shop from 9am to 6pm.
Express stores will be open from 8am to 10pm.
In Scotland, Tesco Extras and Superstores will operate 11am to 6pm, while Metro and Express stores will be open 10am to 6pm.
Tesco petrol stations will be open 8am to 7pm.
