Aldi’s two metre pig in blanket is in shops from today
ALDI'S two metre pig in blanket launches in shops today - and it could be the ultimate showstopper for your Christmas dinner.
The discounter says it’s the longest pig in blanket being sold in the UK and we couldn’t find another one of this size in any other supermarket.
By measuring 6ft 5in in length, it certainly trump’s the discounter's pig in blanket from last year which measured just a foot long and cost £2.99.
It's also double the size of Lidl's three-foot banger, which is on shelves this Christmas.
By setting you back £4.99 for 750g, it's also cheaper than Asda's foot-long pig in blanket last year which weighed 650g and cost £5.
Like a traditional pig in blanket, the features a sausage made from British pork with bacon wrapped around the outside.
Because it’s so big, the pig in blanket is coiled into a swirl so you can easily cook it in the oven before eating it by either unravelling it or cutting it up.
If you're keen to snap it up, you'll have to pop by one of Aldi's 830 stores as it's not sold online.
