Asda’s festive cheese range includes bizarre gingerbread and after dinner mint flavours
ASDA is selling a bizarre range of festive flavoured cheeses for Christmas including one that tastes like gingerbread and another like after dinner mints.
We've heard of gingerbread cheesecake before but never gingerbread cheese, and we couldn't find anything else out there like it.
It's a Yorkshire Wenselydale cheese that's made with gingerbread sauce and biscuit crumbs, and because it's a Wensleydale, it's creamy and crumbly too.
It's shaped like a gingerbread man and is one of a range of four cheeses that are also shaped like Christmas characters.
There's also a plain flavoured Wensleydale cheese in the shape of a snowman, a cheddar cheese in red wax that's in the shape of Father Christmas and a reindeer red Leicester.
The cheeses come in 90g packages but contain around 367 calories per 100g, and cost £1 each.
One person commented under the snacks: "The gingerbread one is delicious. I had it last year and was gutted when they stopped selling it so I've alrady started stockpiling."
But another customer said they'd already tried the after dinner mint one and wasn't convinced.
If you're delighted by dairy and charmed by cheddar then M&S has launched the perfect cheesy advent calendar for you.
Lidl is also selling a cheese advent calendar for Christmas for just £7.99, and it includes eight different cheeses.
But if it's actually the mint flavour that you're after, then you'l be pleased to know that Tesco is bringing back its After Eight advent calendar - but it comes at a price.
