Black Friday – GHD website goes down for maintenance on biggest shopping day of the year

GHD website down

SHOPPERS looking to bag Black Friday deals on GHD hair products had to wait hours to get onto the website today as it was rather bizarrely down for maintenance.

It's unclear exactly how long the site was offline for but shoppers reported problems on social media between 8am and 5pm.

Black Friday shoppers are expected to spend £5.6billion over Black Friday weekend, according to Finder.com.

But the seems to have been down for most of the day, and you couldn't get any further than a landing page saying the site was offline.

The statement said: "The site is currently down for maintenance, but it shouldn't take too long so please check back soon.

"Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks for your patience."

Another said: "@ghd hi is your server down? I’ve tried to order three times and really don’t want three straighteners... @ghdProfessional"

While someone else said: "@ghd is there any idea on when your website will be live again? Showing up as down for maintenance."
