Aldi to stay closed on Boxing Day to give workers a rest over Christmas
ALDI stores across the UK will remain shut once again on Boxing Day to give workers a rest over the Christmas period.
It means employees will get more time with their families over the festive season, in a move that's been praised by shoppers.
This isn't the first time Aldi has closed on Boxing Day - the supermarket has shut its doors on December 26 for several years now.
The Christmas hours for this year were shared in a post on the where the news was celebrated by shoppers and staff.
One worker praised the company and said the supermarket has always shut on December 26, for as long as the 10 years she's worked there.
We’ve asked the supermarket to confirm if staff still get paid their full wages for the day, and if they need to use their holiday allowance to take it off.
After spotting the Christmas hours, one shopper said: "Well done Aldi!"
Another added: "This should always be the case. Boxing Day is family time and all retail workers should be able to enjoy it."
Aldi isn't the only supermarket shutting its doors on Boxing Day - Home Bargains is also staying shut on December 26.
Plus Aldi has just released details of its toy range and it includes Hatchimals and LOL Surprise.
