ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

Viewers slam Mariah Carey for ‘hating crisps’ in Walkers Christmas advert – despite £9million paycheck

MARIAH Carey has been ridiculed for looking like she “hates” crisps in the new Walkers Christmas advert – despite being paid £9million to front the snack giant's latest campaign.

The 49-year-old songstress is seen fighting over a pack of pigs in blankets crisps after singing her festive hit All I Want For Christmas.

After claiming victory and snatching the bag for herself, Mariah then takes a tiny bite of a crisp.

But fans of Walkers haven’t taken lightly to her minuscule morsel and claimed the star looks like she can “hardly bear to put it near her mouth”.

In fact, Twitter users went as far as pleading with the singer to "take a proper bite" as they slammed her appearance.

One person said: "She's eating those crisps like she hates them! Take a proper bite Mariah!"

Another added: "She looks like she hates crisps. Can hardly bear to put it near her mouth. I bet she didn't eat one crisp."

While someone else tweeted: "Not even a good advert.. She eats the crisp like she hates crisps."

One person commented: "I hate how on the Walkers Christmas advert Mariah Carey takes the tiniest bite of the crisp.

"Ram it in yer mouth woman, that's how you're meant to eat crisps."

And someone else put: "Ffs Mariah, you can’t be fighting over a bag of crisps to then eat them like you hate them!"

As well as starring in the Christmas ad, Mariah will have her face splashed across 50 million bags of crisps as part of the multi-million pound sign-up.

The lucrative deal, as reported by The Sun, sees Mariah take over from the Spice Girls as the leading lady of Walkers.

We've contacted both Walkers and representatives of Mariah for comment and we'll update this article when we hear back.

Mariah, who is worth an estimated £244million, has previously appeared in adverts for Macy’s — alongside Donald Trump — and for weight-loss firm Jenny.
