ALDI'S Kevin the Carrot is back for the fourth year - and this time he's got his own song.

New character Russell Sprout, and his Brummy gang of "Leafy Blinders", are boiling with rage about Kevin and his family of carrots stealing the show as the star Christmas vegetable.

After escaping their clutches with the help of Tiny Tom - a little tomato - Kevin performs a version of Robbie Williams' Let Me Entertain You, although the lyrics have been changed.

He begins: "Sprouts are gone and Kevin's here.

"Shower me with festive cheer. Bring those mince pies over here... with cream."

His wife Katie and children Jasper, Baby Carrot and Chantenay all make a reappearance, along with a case of new characters including Russell Sprout.

The 70-second ad will be played tomorrow night (Thursday November 7) at 5.30pm on ITV.

The Sun asked Aldi if Robbie Williams is the voice of the soundtrack but it did not comment.

Sean McGinty, marketing director at Aldi UK, said: “We’re all thrilled to see Kevin back on our screens again, getting up to his usual tricks.

"Kevin’s popularity grows every year and he’s becoming something of a national treasure!"

Last year Aldi was forced to limit Kevin the Carrot toys to two per customer due to demand

Last year fans saw Kevin take to the wheel of a very recognisable truck decked out in lights.

In 2017, Kevin was  was looking for love and we saw him meet Katie.

Fans of Aldi loved watching the happy conclusion of the tale, when Kevin and partner Katie welcoming the arrival of three baby carrots - Jasper, Baby Carrot and Chantenay.

The popularity of the adverts meant Aldi has to limit the amount of toys to two per person, as many were trying to cash in on the toys by reselling them on eBay.

We've asked Aldi about this year's merchandise and it confirmed that there will be items to purchase this year but it is not releasing details of them yet.

Lots of shoppers even shared pics of their soft toys in VERY funny positions.

Sadly, one of the ads featuring bottles of booze was banned by the advertising standards authority for appealing to children.
