Cheapest Christmas tree 2019 – where to buy the best 6ft one

CHRISTMAS is coming but that doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune, and to help you cut costs we've rounded-up 2019's cheapest Christmas trees.

The Sun has found a host of high street retailers selling 6ft green Christmas trees for £20 and under, with the cheapest coming in at a bargain £7.49.

Of course, you may be able to snap up a tree for even less if you're willing to opt for a less traditional white or black version - or if you go for a smaller size.

And bear in mind that you'll have to buy and the lights, baubles and any other decorations separately.

We've also only compared online prices so have a root around in stores to see if you can snap up a bargain.

Poundstretcher 6ft green Christmas tree

This is the cheapest 6ft green Christmas tree we could find and even better, it's currently reduced from £14.99 to just £7.49.

But you can't buy it online so you'll have to pop to your nearest PoundStretcher to get your hands on one.

Use its to find your nearest and to call ahead to check stock availability.

The tree also includes a stand, although it's unclear how many tips - or branches - are on the tree.

Ikea 'ABIES NORDMANNIANA' Christmas tree

Between November 21 and December 24, shoppers who buy an Ikea Christmas tree for £29 will be given a £20 Ikea voucher in return.

This is available on the real Abies Nordmanniana tree only - which is the only non-artificial tree in this list - and brings down its effective price to just £9.

It's unclear if the tree is 6ft but it was last year when Ikea ran the same promotion. Check out our Ikea write-up for the full details.

B&M Green Christmas tree 6ft

B&M's festive offering costs £12 with a stand and is available in green, white or black.

With 410 tips there's plenty of space to hang baubles but it's only available in store, subject to availability.

Home Bargains Noel 6ft Green Pencil Tree

This 380-tip pencil tree is long and slim, making it ideal for smaller spaces, and comes with a folding metal stand.

It costs £14.99 at Home Bargains but online delivery starts from 50p for small items, from £3.49 for medium items, and from £7.99 for large items - there's free on orders over £50.

You can't click and collect in store for free.

M&S Evergreen Christmas tree

Shoppers might not expect to bag a bargain at M&S but it's selling this 6ft tree, plus stand, for just £15.

But the feedback isn't great, only achieving two out of five stars on the M&S website, although that's only from one review. And it's unclear how many tips the tree has.

Standard delivery is £3.50 or free on orders over £50, or you can click and collect in store for free.

George at Asda 6ft Round Tip Green Christmas Tree

This 440 tip tree from George at Asda contains a plastic stand all for the bargain price of £15.

It has a four out of five star rating from five reviews online.

Argos Home 6ft Slim Christmas Tree - Evergreen

This 465 tip tree has hinged branches for easy assembly and its slim design means it can tuck into compact spaces.

B&Q 6ft Woodland Pine Artificial Christmas tree

This B&Q tree costs a bargain £20 but it's only available online, so don't expect to spot it in store.

It's unclear how many tips the tree has, but if you like the look of it home delivery costs from £5 or it's free on orders over £50.

Alternatively you can click and collect in store for free.
