Yet just as mental health nurse Mimii, 24, is recovering from her recent Casa Amor heartache - which saw Ayo, also 24, bring back Jessica Spencer, 25, to the main villa - it seems his feelings have switched.
A teaser for Wednesday's Love Island episode hints at unfinished business between the couple.
Ayo pulls Mimii for a chat in the Den and tells her: "For me personally, I can’t sit here and say to you, all of my feelings are lost…
"You haven’t changed, you’re still Mimii."

Ayo - who has seen bombshell Josh Oyinsan, 29, sweep Mimii away to The Hideaway - adds: "I can’t hide the way I feel about you so it’s not easy for me to see you go around this Villa and see you chat to man, it will never be.
"What was that saying that you had?”
Mimii then answers: "What is meant for you will never pass you."

The duo then share a knowing look before the scenes play out - leaving fans questioning what will happen next.
