Baby girl was born so premature her skin was TRANSPARENT and she could fit inside her dad’s hand
Clara was born weighing just one pound - the same as four sticks of butter
A BABY born so early her skin was see-through has defied the odds.
Little Clara Healy was born at 24 weeks and one day, weighing little more than four sticks of butter, with her parents warned to take it "one day at a time".
But the baby girl has continued to grow and develop, with high hopes she will soon be taken off oxygen.
Corey, 24, recalled what it was like seeing his daughter for the first time after she was born in March, : "She was barely the size of my hand.
"We could see through her - she was still translucent."
He said he and partner Sophie, 23, had to wait for three weeks to just touch their little girl due to doctor's concerns around infection.
But the couple made sure to document the precious moments with their baby girl, capturing touching photos and footage of her first weeks of life.
Proud dad Corey said the parents were relieved to see their little girl putting on weight after the first few worrying weeks, with the tot since able to be brought home to Cumbernauld.

He said: "I don't think she was smiling on her own accord but she made twitches and stuff like that which kept us going."
Clara is now five-months-old, weighing nine pounds.
Dad Corey said the couple were now hopeful their little girl would be able to continue to defy the odds and develop like any other baby.
He said due to her small size, people didn't believe the couple that she was already five months.
The couple are now hoping to raise awareness for other parents around premature births.
