New research, which has analysed British CVs and their salaries, has found that boys called Ed and girls called Liz have the highest earning potential and are most likely to do well in their careers.

While at the other end of the scale, girls given the name Paige and young boys called Reece have the lowest earning potential.

The study was carried out by job search engine , and overall they found traditional monikers and names associated with royalty to be the best earners.

They found that Eds on average make £61,400 per year, and that people called Liz on average take home £38,000.
