This is the touching reason Princess Diana wore two watches
Many people have queried whether she was keeping track of someone in a different timezone, but the reason is actually very romantic

WHEN it comes to style, Princess Diana was a pioneer and not afraid to push boundaries when it came to her outfit choices.
And one of the late royal’s most avant-garde choices has been revealed to be one of her most romantic.
In July 1981, a young Diana Spencer attended the polo at the Guards Polo Club in Windsor to watch her husband-to-be Princes Charles play the sport.
Images of her at the event show the beautiful star wearing two watches on her wrist, but was there a hidden meaning in it?
According to , the thin, gold metallic watch belonged to Diana, but the one with the dark, leather strap belonged to Charles.
The Princess is said to have worn the item as a tribute to her fiancé, so it would bring him good luck in the match.
The act harks back to the middle ages, when a lady would tie her handkerchief to the back of a knight’s helmet as a token of her favour before a joust.
While the marriage between the couple didn’t last, the sweet act has been hailed as extremely romantic, especially as the pair were to tie the knot just days later.
It’s not the first time a royal family member has worn a sentimental item.
Kate Middleton currently wears Princess Diana’s £32million sapphire engagement ring.
It was given to Kate by Wills to ensure his mother would be part of their special occasion on April 29, 2011.
