Mum slams friend who ditched her hen do and then turned up at her husband-to-be’s STAG instead… so should she disinvite her from the wedding?
Her pal said she couldn't find childcare, then tagged along with her own husband on the boys' night out
A BRIDE-TO-BE was left fuming after one of her best friends ditched her hen do, to go on her partner’s STAG instead.
The 30-year-old is now considering disinviting the pal, who she has known since she was a teenager, from her wedding – after she said she was staying in to look after her kids.
, Restlessandwild explained her pal had made excuses about childcare – before heading to the stag which she was not even invited to.
“(I) just feel like picking up the phone and telling them to get lost and not bother coming to the wedding now,” she added.
“The other stags were quite stunned and it really upset the dynamic of the evening. I know she’s very jealous of her DH (dear husband) but this?”
And the other mums have slammed the bride-to-be’s friend.
NapQueen said: “She sounds controlling!” and RuggerHug wrote: “She sounds….odd at best. Did none of the stags ask her what her problem was/had she grown a c**k?”
“(Sounds) a bit odd and hurtful,” added Ohmyf***. “Find out the details first and if it turns out she just couldn’t be arsed then ditch her.”
BarryTheKestrel said: “I’d be furious frankly. Says it all about what she thinks of you and your friendship.
“She won’t make the effort for your hen but will go and keep tabs on her other half on the stag.
“My hen and DHs stag were on different weekends. On the night of the stag me and some friends had a girls night in, wine, chick flick, etc.
“I went home around midnight as I had work the next day, they all went into town and joined the stag party. I was fuming then and they hadn’t even ditched me.
“I’d talk to her, she what the hell she is playing at and what her excuses are before disinviting, but I’d seriously consider it.”
While Roomster101 wrote: “I don’t blame you for being annoyed.
“She wasn’t invited to the stag do so it was pretty rude of her to turn up especially considering this meant you knew she was lying about why she couldn’t attend your hen do.
“I suspect that she intended to go to the stag do all along because she doesn’t trust her DH.”
Yesterday, we brought you the news that a wife was sickened to find her husband slept with prostitutes before they met – so asked Mumsnet for advice on if she should ditch him.
While these mums have been moaning about parents who let their kids play loud games and videos on their iPad on public transport to “keep them quiet”… so who’s in the right?
