Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom looks completely unrecognisable in photos from the early days of the pair’s relationship
FARYAL Makhdoom, boxer Amir Khan's wife, looks completely unrecognisable in photos taken just a few years ago, highlighting her transformation from a demure student into a glam, made-up model.
The pair's troubled relationship suffered a very public KO after Amir took to Twitter to claim Faryal had cheated on him with heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua.
With the split confirmed, Amir and Faryal couldn't be further from the loved-up couple who tied the knot back in 2013.
Since the lavish wedding, their relationship has been plagued by a sex-tape scandal, a family feud and now these sensational cheating claims.
It's a far cry from the early days of the couple's seven-year relationship, and that's not all that has changed.
Photos of Faryal show how her look has shifted dramatically over the years - from that of a modest student to an A-list model.
In a shot taken after the couple's 2012 engagement, Faryal is barely recognisable as she beams next to her fella holding bags from a Manchester branch of Selfridges.
Wearing jeans and brown lace-ups, the only hint that the New Yorker is getting married to a millionaire is her £100,000 diamond ring.
In the years since, Faryal, who runs a cosmetics company, has freely spoken of her love of fillers - she says that being in the public eye means she always has to look her best.
Faryal, who shares a doctor with Kim Kardashian, said: "Because of lack of sleep, genes, dehydration, I get bags under my eyes and I wanted to get them lightened.
"I like high cheekbones. I’ve never had plastic surgery. Fillers and plastic surgery are two different things and I want people to understand that.
"If other women had this money and if they had a husband who was famous, they would do it, too. If I wasn’t married to Amir Khan, I’d probably be a regular girl and I might not do it.
"But I’m in the limelight, I go to events, so it’s part of my life now."

The pair met when Faryal was a 19-year-old student at New Jersey's Rutgers University, with mutual friends bringing the two together at a New York party.
When she and Amir, then 24, first started dating, Faryal was a modest dresser, but she's now far more likely to be rocking a more revealing look.
However, not everyone is on-board with her style transformation - including the Khan family.
She has previously claimed that she was bullied by the Khans, who allegedly told her she was a "bad Muslim" if she ever revealed too much skin.
Yesterday, we told the full story of Faryal's family feud, with the Khans lashing out at the businesswoman again after Amir's cheating allegations.
