CHICK THEM OUT

Lidl is selling 10 McDonald’s-style chicken nuggets for just £1.69… and they’re half the price of the fast food version

LIDL is selling 10 McDonald’s-style chicken nuggets for just £1.69 – half the price of the fast food version.

Shoppers reckon it’s hard to taste the difference between the budget supermarket’s version and the £3.19 pack of nine from the restaurant chain.

Just like at Maccie D’s, the Lidl nuggets come with dips – curry and sweet chilli – and the box they come in certainly looks very familiar.

Unlike many supermarket chicken nuggets, the Lidl ones are chilled, not frozen, meaning less cooking time.

But you’d better be quick if you want to try them.

According to a Lidl employee, the nuggets are one of the store’s limited edition products.

“It’s a special offer so once it’s gone it’s gone. Grab them while you can because they are delicious!”

Another member of the Facebook group claimed that the Lidl nuggets are actually “the same” as the fast food chain ones.

They wrote on the site: “They are actually the same as the McDonald’s ones but are the ‘rejected’ nuggets usually because they don’t fit the four shapes that McDonald’s sell boot ball bell and bow tie (I worked there for nearly 10 years).”

While we can’t confirm or deny that, the fact that the post has generated 900 shares, 3,000 reactions and 11,000 comments certainly suggests that they’re worth a go!

Earlier this year we revealed that Lidl is selling a new version of its award-winning gin and it looks very similar to a fancy bottle that’s double the price.

Last week we told how McDonald’s fans can bag themselves an adult-sized Big Mac onesie for FREE if they order a McDonald’s delivery from participating restaurants via the UberEATS app tomorrow (July 26).
