Cadbury’s Tiffin chocolate bars will be back on supermarket shelves next MONTH… after a huge social media campaign
The much-loved bar was scrapped 14 years ago... but chocolate lovers were determined to bring it back
CHOCOLATE fans rejoice, Cadbury’s are permanently bringing back a much-loved treat next month, 14 years after it was scrapped.
The Tiffin bar will be back in British supermarkets from August 1, after a limited edition trial run led to a huge social media campaign.
The new 200g bar will cost £2.49, and will include crunchy biscuit, raisins and a smothering of Dairy Milk chocolate.
The Tiffin bar was launched 80 years ago, but scrapped twice because of bad sales – and Cadbury seemingly dropped it for good in 2003.
But a trial run of 3 million bars last year proved so popular that the chocolate giant is bringing them back on a permanent basis.
Brand manager Katrina Davison told the: “Cadbury Dairy Milk Tiffin has always been a firm favourite amongst chocolate lovers and is perfect for sharing.
“Last year, we released a limited edition bar in the summer and the response was incredible!
Tiffin was launched in 1937 and withdrawn in 1972 – before being temporarily brought back from 1985.
