This is what Wonder Woman Gal Gadot looked like in her beauty queen days…and she’s going to be a bit embarrassed about it

AS WONDER Woman, Gal Gadot has gained an army of fans - after impressing with her fierce attitude and stunning looks.

The mum-of-two honed her Amazon warrior style fighting skills during her two years in the Israeli army, but she hasn't always had the super-toned athletic figure she has now.

Back in 2004 Gal, now 32, was scouted to compete in Miss Israel, a beauty pageant which kick started her career.

At the age of just 18, she went on to win the title - much to her dismay.

Gal told : "I thought, 'that would be a nice experience'. I never thought I would win!

"I was shocked when they crowned me. When I went to Miss Universe, I rebelled. I was afraid I might get picked again.

"I showed up late. I came without gowns. They tell you to come to breakfast in a gown.

"I was like, 'No way am I having breakfast in a gown!' Who needs to wear an evening gown at 10.30am?"

The superhero actress gained 17lb of muscle for her role in Wonder Woman and, as you can see from these throwback shots, she had a slighter frame as a teenager.

And that's not the only difference. Nowadays, Gal is now rarely seen without her signature ponytail.

But, back in the day, her dark hair was cropped and Gal wore it curly and shoulder-length.
