The Chase viewers stunned by ‘awesome’ lone player who took down The Chaser with a run of 19 questions while he answered just NINE

THE Chase viewers were stunned by a lone player who destroyed the Dark Destroyer in one to the “most impressive performances” ever on the show.

Renee Smith, who was left to fight single-handed after her three teammates were eliminated on the ITV quiz show, answered an amazing 19 questions in a row.

When it came to the Dark Destroyer, the tables were turned.

The Chaser, real name Shaun Wallace, managed just NINE and gave Renee eight pushbacks, which she took full advantage of.

Host Bradley Walsh said:”Well played, extraordinary performance.”

The Dark Destroyer told her: “I lost, fair play to you Renee.”

Twitter went wild for Renee, despite the show being a repeat.

One wrote: “That is one of the most impressive performances I’ve ever seen. AND SHE WAS ALL ON HER OWN.”

Another added: “Woah Renee Smashed , Player!”

Shaun Wallace added: “Sometimes you just have to put your hands up and congratulate the better player….well done Renee I truly enjoyed that chase .”

Some suggested Renee should become a Chaser herself, while others thought it might be a fix.

Another winner on The Chase was so horrified at her appearance on the show she used her £10k haul to buy a new body.

Viewers recently slammed ITV for airing old episodes of the show.
