The Brit designer has whipped up four new varities of the shoe that are embellished with tiger print patterns, feathers and even jewel flower charms.

And even though they have been given the high fashion seal of approval, style lovers are still not convinced it is enough to make them trendy - with one even calling them a "crime against humanity."

The limited edition collection of Crocs are on sale from August 10, priced £65 and are available to buy in Crocs stores. There are also a limted number of pairs on sale now at selected Office stores.

Talking about the collaboration, Christopher admitted that he had always liked Crocs and was thrilled to team up with the brand.

He said: "I've always been a fan of the iconic Crocs Clog. I like that they are perceived by some to be quite ‘ugly’ and not at all feminine or designed to flatter.

"They are designed for function, and that’s what attracted me to them."

But despite his involvement, it seems fashion fans are less than impressed and still can't be convinced to buy the plastic shoes.

Frankie tweeted: "Christopher Kane needs to stop with the crocs."

Ellie added: "Laughing at Christopher Kane trying to make crocs high fashion no no just no."

While Tara said: "Don't care if Christopher Kane put them on the catwalk this season, Crocs are still a crime against humanity."

However, Haz added: "Christopher Kane x Crocs makes me lmao I love it."

Crocs were originally developed as a boating shoe by American businessmen, Scott Seamans, Lyndon ‘Duke’ Hanson and George Boedecker.
