Fidget spinners have a ‘hidden meaning’… and it might surprise you
IT TURNS out there’s a hidden meaning to fidget spinners – and it’s sure to surprise you.
Fidget spinners are a hugely popular toy trend at the moment and they’re marketed as a stress reliever - as well as being said to help those suffering with ADHD, autism or anxiety.
The three-pronged, flat structure we’ve all come to know and love consists of a central bearing which allows the gizmo to be spun.
But it seems the toy’s popularity has led to it being used as a comparison for a religious doctrine.
Some branches of Christianity seem to think the toy could represent the Holy Trinity and various priests have been using the device to explain its meaning.
Christian Today journalist discussed the supposed connection following Trinity Sunday on June 11.
Joseph said: "Fidget spinners have seen a remarkable surge in popularity this year. Are they an analogy for the triune God, or a damnable heresy?"
The Holy Trinity holds that God is “one God in three Divine persons” - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

While deeming it "heretical", many Christians have tweeted how the popular toys are a helpful way of explaining the Holy Trinity.
One Twitter user wrote: “You know your priest's sermons are on point when he compares the holy trinity to a fidget spinner”.
Another tweeted: “Today I watched a priest use a fidget spinner to represent the Holy Trinity and felt my soul leave my body.”
Last week, we reported that fidget spinners are being seized over fears they could cause choking and internal bleeding.
