Horrified mum devastated to find her ex-husband is dating her DAUGHTER… whom she called ‘dad’ at 11 and he raised as his own
The distressed Mumsnet user had been left reeling after her son informed her that the pair were together
A HORRIFIED mum discovered her ex-husband has started a new relationship - with her daughter, who he’d raised as his own.
The distressed user has been left reeling after her son informed her the pair are together.
The mum then took to the parenting forum to ask other if the relationship could be considered “moral incest”.
Telling her background story, the woman explained that when she had her first child she’d been very young and had later married her now ex when her daughter was 11-years-old.
She added: “He became her stepfather, DD [darling daughter] changed her name to have same surname as us and has called him dad for 20 years. (Not legally adopted)”.
The woman's daughter, who is now 31, also has her own son who treats the ex-husband as his grandfather - even affectionately calling him “Pappy”.
The woman added: “It just feels so wrong on every level.
“I know biologically it's not incest, but morally it feels like it.
“I'm in total shock and haven't been able to speak to them since. What do I do?”

Needless to say, many users were left horrified to hear about the situation and told the woman she was right to feel distressed.
One woman replied: “Wow. I have no words. I am with you OP [original poster], feels all shades if wrong. I wish I had some amazing advice for you.”
Another said: “Wtf?!? That's just gross.”
Someone else added: “It is wrong. They have had a father daughter relationship and now a romantic relationship.
“Very odd boundaries there”
But, some were sceptical and left wondering whether or not the post was genuine.
One such user said: “I really hope you're trolling.”
Another added: “This can't be real!”
Others made the point that while the relationship itself isn't illegal, a marriage would be.
In UK law, step-relatives are unable to legally marry if the younger of the couple has lived in the same house as the older person before they were 18 - or been treated as a child of the older person's family.
This week, we reported on a Mumsnet user who is so worried about letting her kids go to London she’s BANNED them from a school trip.
