Lauren says the trick is being extremely as ease with your surroundings and adds that being “in your home or your bedroom” will give you the best chance of taking the perfect nude selfie.

The second step is all about setting the scene as she says that nothing screams "tacky" more than the toilet in the background of your selfie.

Lauren suggests tidying and cleaning up before you start and moving piles of dirty laundry, dishes and messy, unmade beds.

Thirdly, practice makes perfect as the snapper says there’s no worse feeling than standing starkers in front of the camera having no clue what to do.

She suggests practising your poses and facial expressions in the mirror and nail it to build that confidence.

Another tip is to take test shots to make sure your photo is framed, in focus and well lit.

Lauren explained: "The concept could be as basic as being on the floor naked, and then experimenting with that.

She also suggests opting for natural lighting as its kinder to bare flesh than artificial bulbs and it offers a softer glow that won’t create nasty shadows in the wrong places.

But if the desire to take your selfie strikes at midnight, Lauren suggests that “two lamps are all you need to make some sort of light source happen.”

While her last piece of advice is to find your best angle and highlight the best parts of your body.

She adds: "You don’t need expensive equipment.

“It’s definitely scary, it’s kind of an adrenaline rush, and I like it for that. [You’re] just posing and hoping you get something good, and usually you do."
