Bradley Walsh is left stunned after the Beast bluffs him and gets a question WRONG as The Chase returns

The TV host was shocked when Mark Labbett got a question wrong about kids TV show Joe 90

HE IS the most feared quiz brain and loves nothing better than wiping the floor with contestants who appear on The Chase.

But Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett was forced to bluff and appear to know the answer to a questions about kids TV – despite having no clue on whether he was right – stunning Bradley Walsh.

The ITV teatime quiz returned to screens today after a four-week break, and one contestant to face Chaser The Beast was Ewan from Inverness.

He had a fair cash builder round and was playing against Mark for £5,000 and the chance to return to his team for the final chase.

However, one of the questions he faced was: “Which Gerry Anderson character worked for the World Intelligence Network?”

And The Beast seemed happy with his answer, until it was revealed he got the question wrong

Both Ewan and the Chaser were given the options Lady Penelope, Captain Scarlett and Joe 90.

Unsure of the correct answer, the contestant went for Captain Scarlett, and a confident-looking Beast – who rubbed his hands with glee on seeing the question – also plumped for the same answer.

However, as host Bradley revealed the correct answer was Joe 90, he was left looking shocked at learning the Beast got the question wrong.

Mark shouted: “Bluff!”, to which Bradley replied: “You are kidding me!”

“I thought you would have that nailed on.”

But the Beast cheekily said: “Don’t forget I’m a few years younger than you so I only caught the tail end of Joe 90.”

By the time of the final round, all four contestants had been caught, meaning one contestant, Andy, returned to face the Beast to win £4,000.

But the Chaser was unstoppable and the group of challengers went home with nothing.

Today’s episode was the first to appear on ITV in a month after it was temporarily replaced by Rylan Clark-Neal quiz show Babushka.
