Bust In Britain champ Jasmin McCloude hits the high street to test the struggle big chested women face when shopping for bikinis
With high street chains selling bikinis according to dress size rather than bra size those blessed with a bigger chest face no easy task
AS the sun starts to sizzle, the search for the perfect bikini begins.
But with most shops selling by dress size instead of bra size, that’s no easy task.
Our Bust in Britain winner Jasmine McCloude is a size 8 but a 32D – so often has to buy a size 12 top.
Here, GABRIELE DIRVANAUSKAS asks her to rate six size 8 sets to see how they work for those blessed with a bigger bust.
Gingham bikini top - Topshop
“I love gingham and this style is so on-trend. The balcony cups are a perfect fit which almost never happens in a size 8. The bottoms are literally the perfect fit too - it’s a clear winner.”
Rating: Best fit 10/10
Pink and green leaf bikini top - New Look
“This fits the worst - from side on it makes me look like I have four boobs. The cups are too small and the bottoms were too big and reached all the way up my back.”
Rating: Worst fit 1/10
Pink lace bikini - Primark
“The price for this set is amazing but sadly the fit doesn’t follow suit. The knickers felt fine but the top didn’t fit me at all.”
Rating: 3/10
Pink sprinkle patter - ASOS.com
£12 each 4/10
“There’s not a lot of support going on here and the shape doesn’t do much for me. The design is fun but not right for my bust, it would be great for tanning though as it’s quite skimpy.”
Rating: 4/10
Bronze cross design bikini - H&M
“I’m a big fan of this colour and the material makes the set look luxe and expensive. But I was disappointed with the fit.
“It’s too small, the cross front designed squashed my boobs and there was some under and side boob going on thanks to the cut-out sections… not ideal.”
