KFC adds BRAND NEW chicken flavour to its famous Colonel menu… but you’ll have to be quick to try it

A brand new flavour is coming to KFC restaurants around the UK, and you'll have to be quick to make the most of it

FOR the first time in history, KFC is changing its beloved Original Recipe chicken.

The fast food giant is launching a brand new flavour based on its Deep South roots called the Nashville Hot chicken.

The spicy, smoky dish is made from cayenne and paprika and served with gherkins and is said to be “inspired by Nashville’s original hot chicken shacks”.

You’ll have to hurry to sample the Nashville Hot flavour, as it is only available for a limited time.

KFC enthusiasts can try the new dish in restaurants nationwide from May 22 to June 18.

But fans who are dedicated to the Original Recipe chicken dish don’t need to panic – you can still order it too.

According to KFC, the origins of the chicken shacks date back to the Andre Prince Jeffries family, who own Nashville’s Prince's Hot Chicken Shack, which is still popular in the city today.

It isn't the only time KFC have caused a stir recently.

The Sun Online recently went behind the scenes to reveal what it is really like in a KFC kitchen, ahead of the fast food chain opening its kitchens to customers.

The chain decided to lift the lid on the cooking process to quash rumours it doesn’t use real chicken.
