Over the years, the app has remained much the same, but thanks to Jazz recently coming across an old , many have just learned about another basic feature.

After making his discovery, Jazz made a quick video showing that iPhone users can simply swipe left or right to correct a wrongly entered number – instead of starting over.

It seems the capability is not very well known, and many took to Twitter to share their surprise.

One user wrote: “After all those times I had to clear the entire thing.”

Another grateful Twitter user said: “I've had an iPhone for years and I never knew you could do this”.

Another added: “I'm mad af ... Do you know how many times I had to restart a calculation. How much time I wasted?”

Many long-term iPhone fans were equally shocked, with one saying: “I've had an iPhone for years and I never knew you could do this.”

Did you know about this feature?

Apple fans will also be pleased to know that rumours for the iPhone 8 launch are currently circulating.
