Single mum is slammed as her little boy breaks down in tears because she won’t let him see his dad on Single Mums Club

A SINGLE mum has been slammed online after her little boy was left in tears when she refused to allow him to see his dad more.
Sarah, 26, appeared on Channel 4's Single Mums Club, which follows the lives of several women from Liverpool raising their children alone.

The documentary showed the part-time care assistant trying to juggle studying for an events degree and bringing up her seven-year-old twin sons Jacob and Jayden.
She gave birth to the boys when she was just 18 and her relationship with their dad, her childhood sweetheart, ended two years later.
Sarah explained how she ended the relationship after her sons' dad treated her badly and told her kids: "We are a functioning family.

"We don't need an extra person in it.
"Women can do everything so why not raise a child."

But in one heartbreaking scene, the twins asks their mum and granny about their dad and question why he isn't in their lives very much.
Jacob says: "There's always got to be someone else as my other half. Someone who respects me. It's got to be my dad, isn't it?
"We are supposed to see him often but we don't see him very often. We just see you.

"I don't want to see him more than you I just want to see him the correct time as you."
The youngster then breaks down in floods of tears and Sarah begins to comfort him.
And when she asks him what's wrong, he sobs: "Because it is me dad I just want to see him.
"If we all just lived together we could all be a family. We are not a family without a dad.
"It's not my fault you are not together."
Sarah explains that even though her ex tells his sons he is sorry for his behaviour, she believes they don't understand the extent of how bad their relationship was.
But some viewers took to Twitter, where they criticised the single mum for not letting her former partner into her kids' lives more.
One said: "Omg that little boy crying to see his dad breaks my heart! Stupid woman should let them see him! "
Another wrote: "Awwww breaking my heart watching #SingleMumsClub that poor boy sobbing his heart out. I think children do need a mum & dad where possible!"
One viewer tweeted: "#SingleMumsClub your son is crying because he wants to see his dad. Sorry that is plain cruel.
While another added: "Aww these little kids crying about their dad breaking me heart, they're so polite and clever #singlemumsclub"
But other viewers were divided and sang Sarah's praises for doing all she could for her kids.
One said: "All this negativity about this show but I actually love it 😂 Sarah and her twins are my heros."
While another added: "I love how these women want to work hard to get a better life.#Mel #Sarah #singlemumsclub"
