You’ve been eating cupcakes all wrong…here’s the best way to munch them without getting icing up your nose
EATING a cupcake without getting creamy icing all over your mouth and nose can prove a real challenge.
And with some cakes having lashing of frosting all over the top, it's sometimes even a struggle to fit your mouth round it.
But it turns out that trying to stuff it into your mouth is wrong, and there is actually a correct way to eat a cupcake if you're without a fork.
According to , a more 'gentlemanly' way to eat a cupcake is to first remove the paper case.
Then you should gently tear the cake in half and remove a layer from the bottom.
The part of the cake that has been teared off should then be turned over and placed over the top of the icing.
And by doing that you've created a sandwich which can be squashed together with the icing as the filling.
Then you can proceed to eat the cake without the worry of getting an icing moustache.
And the tip has wowed people on Twitter who wish they had thought of it sooner.
One person tweeted: "I'm a genius taking the bottom off a big cupcake and putting it on the top making it a sandwich.
One man wrote: "Just saw someone rip a cupcake in half and eat it like a sandwich.......why haven't I thought of this #mindblown.
While another said: "If you don't eat a cupcake like a sandwich, what are you doing?"
It comes after we revealed last week that we've been eating Pringles all wrong and there is a correct way to much them.
And we also showed you how to open a bottle of beer without an opener using just a sheet of paper.
