The average cost of a wedding dress in the UK has dropped by £300 (but it’ll still set you back a small fortune)
SOME couples are happy to splash big bucks when it comes to saying ‘I do’ - and others find it unavoidable.
But there's some good news for thrifty brides-to-be, as a survey has revealed wedding dresses aren’t as expensive as they used to be.
According to research by online shopping destination , women are splashing out an average of £832 for their frock, which is down 20 per cent from £1112 last year.
That is a potential saving of £280.
Spending more than £800 on a glamorous frock that you’ll only wear once is still an awful lot of dosh – but it is less severe than it could have been.
