Want to cook the perfect baked potato? This is what you should be doing
POTATOES are a much-loved staple food.
They provide us with chips, crisps, wedges and mash – but when it comes to making a baked potato it seems we may be doing it WRONG.

According to , instead of wrapping them in foil and putting them in the oven, you need to take a bit more care. Yes it makes the process lengthier, but the end result will be tastier too.
Here’s what you need to do...
Slice the top off the spud and cut rings around the inside.
Cut down the sides of the potato the whole way round – leave an area on the bottom uncut.
Brush your spuds with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Place them a foil-lined tray and bake at 200C for 30 minutes.
Brush with more oil and pop back in.
After 30 mins it should look like this.
Option – add cheese and put in for a further five minutes.
Voila!
