AN ambitious study has revealed the location of the UK's most crime-ridden residential streets.
Thanks to publicly-available police data, research by has shed light on the most perilous postcodes in England and Wales.
The study only focuses on residential streets, rather than on main roads with crime hotspots such as nightclubs or bus stops.
Based on crimes reported over the last six months, the report reveals the postcodes with the highest volume of criminal activity.
And although the bulk of these offences are petty crimes, the number of incidents on some streets is truly staggering.
The most crime-ridden street in the country can be found in the capital, with a shocking 244 reported incidents taking place over the past six months.
In West London, Chevy Road is the nation's most crime-ridden address, with violence and sexual offences dominating the police statistics.

In shameful second place, Leeds' Heathcroft Rise was the site of 161 offences, with drug crimes accounting for over half of that figure.
Manchester's Taplin Drive is the nation's third most crime-ridden street, where 158 offences were recorded in the second half of last year.

Sheffield's Buchanan Drive follows close behind with 143 offences recorded, with Anti-Social behaviour making up over 90 per cent of the crimes.
And the fifth most crime-ridden street was named as Bache Hall Court in Chester, where violence and sexual offences made up half of the reported crimes.
