RED Nose Day is back on Friday – featuring a whole selection of famous faces, comedy sketches and “telly treats”.

When is Red Nose Day and what is the theme this year?

Comic Relief’s big event is just around the corner – and organisers are busy creating a Red Nose Day night of live comedy, sketches and fundraising at the O2.

The unmissable TV event will be shown on BBC tonight (March 24) and has a theme of ‘A Comic Adventure.’

Supporters are encouraged to wear red noses, do funny activities and raise money at work, home or schools for the Comic Relief charity.

And Ladybird have released a limited-edition Red Nose Day book, the latest instalment in their tongue-in-cheek series.

Companies have the option of buying a box of 40 Red Noses for £40, which allows them to sell the charitable goods off to fundraise further.

Which celebrities will be involved in Comic Relief this year?

Comic Relief has confirmed that Michaela Coel, Russell Kane, Katy Brand, Reggie Yates, Hugh Dennis and David Baddiel are to make the journey delivering crucial supplies to some of the poorest communities in Africa.

Grammy Award-winning singer Ed Sheeran also sang with children on the streets of Liberia and met with kids whose parents had died during the Ebola outbreak.

He's expected to be heavily involved with the main event on Friday 24.

Other highlights will include a comic strip game online featuring Warwick Davis, Hugh Dennis, Nick Grimshaw, Lenny Henry, Harry Hill, Alex Jones, Katie Price and Joe Sugg.

Finally, there's the highly-anticipated Love Actually reunion special.
